URBAN REDEVELOPMENT OF THE FORMER BENAZZO SAWMILL AREA

reinforced concrete

Design of reinforced concrete structures
Acqui Terme (AL), 2005–2015
O&M Ingegneria

Completed in 2015 after a long development process that began in 2005, this project involved the volumetric redevelopment of an existing industrial site through a residential regeneration scheme. The intervention was centered around a large semi-underground reinforced concrete slab designed to accommodate private parking garages serving the new residential units.

The main structure was built in reinforced concrete, with construction solutions focused on durability, functionality, and integration within the existing urban fabric. The project resulted in the construction of a multi-family residential building, improving the functional performance of the area while enhancing the value of the entire district.

The development was carried out on behalf of Immobiliare S. Guido, in collaboration with the general contractor Fratelli Pastore of Nizza Monferrato. The project represents a successful example of urban transformation, combining sustainable building practices with efficient land use and space optimization.
